The beach is perfect! very secure, and powder soft. Local people are very friendly, loved having a swim everytday. bavaro is a fantastie place to holiday.
Stayed in resort, long transfer from the airport so we didn't want to leave once we arrived. Lots of entertainment laid on by hotel, but we tended to just chill out and did very little!
We didn't do much outside the resort, so didn't see much. Went on a couple of excursions all organised, so we only saw a couple of tourist shops out the window. All inclusive resort so worked out well enough for us.
Lovely place. The transfer from the airport takes about an hour, and the roads are a little crazy, but once we got there it was well worth it. Best to get a taxi if you want to tdo any exploring, but we were just happy in the resort for most of the time.
