Our opinion about Sliema
The beautiful town of Sliema in Malta was once a tiny fishing village, now it's grown into a mature holiday resort but still retains a traditional Maltese culture. Alongside the gorgeous beaches, you can stroll along Tower Road, the promenade of the town or visit an 18th century fort built by the Knights of King John. And at only half a kilometre away from the capital Valletta you can truly enjoy the best of both worlds on cheap Sliema holiday. Book bargain holidays in Sliema now with Purple Travel…

A good place for people looking for more relaxation and also a good base for trips around the various parts of the island. It's quite built up but a nice place to visit.
Hard to fit everything in , there was a lot to see that we didn't get around to. Local bus service is good, but if you have any problems walking etc, better to rent a car for travelling around.
Loved Sliema, i've been there several times and keep going back. It's perfect!
