Our opinion about Porto
Portugal’s second city, Porto has something for everyone. Check out the UNESCO World Heritage sites as you stroll around the historic neighbourhood of the Ribeira District, it's all twisting laneways and tiled churches dating back to Medieval times. It being Porto, it would be a shame not to to indulge in a shot of the eponymously titled drink. Port tasting is practically a sport in Porto, famed for its bars and cafes. For culture buffs, the city is packed with places to sites like the Port…

Such a great choice, porto isn't like the busy tourist resrots inn the Algarve. Actualyl a very pleasant city to walk around, food is heavenly, there are plenty of small little restaurants where you can get typical portuguese food. It was refreshing to not be asked if we wanted chips! It's very much a city to walk around - the old quarter, cathedral, and university quarter are all worth a look, there is also a really beautiful bookshop called Lello, (you can google it!) It's really cheap as well, beers around 1 euro, decent public transport prices too, all in all, couldn't recommend it highly enough.
