Very close to Rethymno town
Platanias is a peaceful seaside resort. The accommodation was good and the surroundings more than pleasant. Access to the beach was easy and the local tavernas served delicious food. Also, the town of Rethymno was close enough so we were able to do some sightseeing and souvenir shopping.
