Our opinion about Opatija

Not the place to go if all you want is the beach, there isn’t really one to speak of. However, there is a bus which takes you down to the beach every half hour or so. There is quite a nice area for sitting by the water, with sunbeds etc, if that’s enough to suit you.
Lovely place, atmosphere is to die for, lovely finish everywhere. The hotel was very pleasant, buses are handy and on time (!!!) Really the whole trip was worth it for the stunning food we had pretty much every night.
It’s a bit weird as there’s not beach, but there are buses that take you to the nearest beach quite quickly.
