Close to Faro, Olhao has all the amenities you can think of for your Algarve holiday this summer. Home to a busy fishing port, it may appear quite industrial at first glance but it’s a lovely place to watch the fishermen at work and uncover the multiple identities of the area. You won't find a beach in Olhao but the nearby Illha da Culatra beach offers beautiful crystal clear water and a large golden stretch of sand. Olhao is lovely, very relaxing with a traditional feel. The views are simply stunning.
Beautiful! Felt like a traditional place where the Portuguese themselves would go. Very romantic and a lovely charming atmosphere.
A really great resort, Olhao is fantastic anytime of year. There are plenty of beaches and they were all quiet when we were there, I guess it was a bit out of season. Wonderful holiday.
