Our opinion about La Manga
The tiny slip of land at La Manga del Mar Menor near Alicante on Spain’s Costa de Almeria has created a huge natural lagoon in the Mediterranean. Sounds idyllic doesn’t it? This is a landscape made for sunbathing, swimming and water sports by the bucket load, excuse the pun! Families will love La Manga thanks to the shallow salty waters and activities, while mum and dad will fall in love with great value hotels, tennis, and golf and spa treatments. Great resort for almost anyone – couples, families, elderly – good all rounder.
An athlete’s dream – three huge gold courses, football pitches, swimming, La Manga has everything.
La Manga that it is suitable for pretty much every type of person. Young families and the elderly aliek can enjoy its beautiful beaches, watersports and diverse range of activities, not to mention its brilliant golf course (which my husband didn’t want to leave behind!). Even the nightlife is worth checking out, especially in peak season, when its really lively and great fun.
La Manga is an excellent resort. If you’re staying there, make sure you visit the Tomás Maestre marina, which has an excellent range of restaurants and bars selling really top quality food. If you’re looking for a night out, the bars get really lively at about 1am and don’t close til 6! Excpect themed nights throughout summer and a buzzing atmosphere in any of the bars in the marina.
