Very relaxing resort, with a selection of great beaches, don’t miss Chryssi island…it’s tropical! Food was also nice. There were plenty of tavernas, plus the town has a good range of local facilities. An overall pleasant and chilled-out holiday, exactly what we wanted.
It’s really quiet in Ierapetra, if you’re looking for anything other than major relaxing i wouldn’t recommend it. Although it is a nice resort, very clean and tidy, beach is lovely, but it gets really hot, not ideal for small kids in the height of summer.
The food in Crete is AMAZING! The great beach doesn’t hurt either, but the food is something really special.
