Unexpectedly beautiful, Hvar amazed me and I had a great time there. It's a small island off Croatia, we spent a night in Split then got the boat to Hvar, which didn't take long! The waters were crystal clear and the island offers the choice of camping or small hotels. There are a couple of decent restaurants, one thing to note the beach is rocky and pebbly - so we got some of those diving shoes. Apart from that, it was perfect.
