Our opinion about Corfu Town
A town of two halves! Corfu Town the capital of the island is well worth a visit. You can wander down the historic cobbled streets of the Old Town, admire the elegant churches and marvel at the fortress that overlooks the town. Then when it suits you can grab a bargain in the new town, where there is shopping to suit every taste. In the market for gold or leather? You can pick up a few bits and pieces in Corfu. Corfu Town was very beautiful and scenic. We were absolutely charmed by the atmosphere. Also, almost every restaurant served something traditional, a fact that we appreciated a lot. Staying in Corfu Town is like travelling back in time. Me and my husband are thinking of repeating our trip next year.
Have been going back to Corfu the past few years., amazing island. Corfu Town is a little bit on the quieter side. Very picturesque, loads of places to eat and drink, Perfect for a few days in the sun.
