Perfectly situated just 40 minutes from Faro airport, cheap holidays in Altura are perfect for families due to the long sandy beaches and shallow waters which are very child friendly. A friendly sort of place, but there wasn't really a lot going on, not really much to say about Altura really.
a very small town, we stayed in the eurotel which is right on the beach. There isn't really anything else going on apart from the beach and the hotel, but it was a relaxing few days holiday.
Beach, beach, beach and nothing else. Perfect if you really want to get away from it all. Very welcoming area, people are very friendly, food was good too.
Beach is really long and absolutely beautiful. Very clean, and the water is crystal clear. It’s probably not the most happening of places, but I highly recommend it.
