This tiny town in the south of the Illha de Sao Miguel is the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. Found in one of the small islands that makes up the naturally beautiful Azores, this  unique destination isn’t for the everyday traveller. Located on the southern shores of the island, the town was once the capital, until in was destroyed by an earthquale in 1522. However, today’s its idyllic port and quietly bobbing fishing boats tell nothing of the past.
