Our opinion about Sintra

Under 30km from the Portuguese capital Lisbon, Sintra certainly offers the best of both worlds. The hills surrounding the town are filled with Moorish ruins and has its own Royal Palace. It’s so important in historical terms it’s been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The majestic mountains that act as a backdrop to the city complete the picture perfect holiday destination.

There’s plenty to do in the area, from hopping on the train to nearby Monserrate, the Regaleira Palace, or the Toy Museum for some family fun. On top of that there is a selection of delicious restaurants and bars to feed any apetite after a day of activity.
