Our opinion about Porto

A city break to Porto is as diverse as it gets. Just a couple of hours from the UK, you can be soaking up the sunshine of this historic, foodie and cultural delight in under three hours.

The old town centre, is characterised by its corkscrew streets and twisting steps. This district, the Ribeira has even been given the title of UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights of the city include its many museums, of Port Wine and contemporary art. While a visit to the city would not be complete without a stop in some of the delicious local eateries. Just remember, there’s more than tripe on the menu!

At night, the city transforms as people spill out of bars and clubs, there are jazz cafes, late night DJs and all night parties on offer, if you can find a friendly local to take you there.
