Our opinion about Porto Santo Island

A teeny, tiny island just to the north of Madeira, Porto Santo is a completely unspoilt gem of a holiday destination. There’s only one town with a handful of shops, bars and eateries, which means there is little to do except take advantage of complete relaxation.

The beaches that hug the coastline are made of golden sands and crystal clear waters, with lots of chances to simply lay down your towel and catch the sun, or hit the surf and try out your board skills. The centre of the island will lead you to volcanic mountains as well as a mix of golf courses and horse riding areas.

For day trips nearby Madeira is the obvious choice, the busy island has bars and eateries by the bucketload and will reinvigorate your week of complete relaxation.
