Our opinion about Madrid

The lush Spanish capital is the ultimate in city breaks. Just a few hours from the UK, it has all you could ask for a day, a week or a year!

Feast on tapas in some of the best Spanish restaurants around and become acquainted with the likes of callos (a kind of tripe), morcilla (blood sausage) or huevos estrellados (fried eggs). That will give you some energy so you can discover the fantastic art galleries like El Prado, the city’s architecture and its fantastic museums.

In the evening after a long day of sight seeing and eating, there’s nothing better than hitting the pubs and clubs of the city for a full on fiesta night out. You can take your pick from the lively sangria bars, hardcore dance or drum ‘n bass clubs or indie nights out, but be warned they go on ‘til late!
