Cala Mandia

Our opinion about Cala Mandia

Also known as Playa Romantica, Cala Mandia is still relatively unknown. Situated on the east coast of Majorca, the resort is just 4km away from Porto Cristo. This town is known for being home to the Coves del Drach and the Coves del Hams, two popular visitor attractions on the island, consisting of subterranean caves dripping in stalactites and stalacmites. The Coves del Drach also features a lagoon, where classical music is often played during the summer months.

The beach at Cala Mandia is wide at roughly 160 metres by 100 metres, and contains a wealth of facilities from sun beds to showers. The calm and safe waters make the beach a haven for water sports enthusiasts. If you enjoy walking, the headland across the south of Cala Mandia is part of the Natur 2000 ecological network. The 3km walk past wild scrubland provides some fascinating views out towards the beach and surrounding ocean.
