Maybe not the most beautiful of places, but trips to the islands are a must. There’s a nice atmosphere, and lots of restaurants etc you’d expect from a big town like that.
Split is a lively enough town, with stuff going on, but really it’s the islands that are worth going to. Try Brac or Hvar, you’ll be stunned, the water is absolutely crystal clear, it’s a true pleasure finding undiscovered gems like them.
