We ended up going to Perissa. Blissful place, really lovely location, great beaches and near to some ancient sights. Very laidback, people were very friendly and the food was delicious. Hoping to go back sometime.
I can't say a thing against Santorini, except it's a little pricey. Setting is really something special, and the sunsets are spectacular. Would definitely go back.
