I'm just back from a week's holiday in Menorca and couldn't ask for a better set up than in Mahon. We stayed in the Port Mahon hotel, such a good locaiton. The staff are friendly and really, couldn't do enough for us. The views were perfect and it was a good base for exploring the rest of the island. My husband and I rented a car and found this a good way of discovering the island.
Lovely area, it was quite fancym, apparently known as millionaires row!! Lots of boats to watch going by and a small market to pick up some bits and bpieces. Weather was surprisingly good too, and local buses take you around the island.
