Athens is a gem! There are so many sights to visit and the nightlife is…oh, truly unique. No words can describe this amazing city…just go and see yourselves. I’m definitely going back.
I've lived here for a few years and it just gets better and better. There are of course issues sometimes, but overall the greeks are great, so friendly, relaxed, weather is amazing. Athens is definitely worth stopping by in, but not really more than a day or two.
Really interesting place. The Acropolis is fantastic, we stopped here for a few days on our way to Mykonos and it was lovely.
We passed through Athens on the way to some islands in the summer. It's ok, very, very hot, not half as beautiful as the islands (Mykonos and Paros) but still worth it for a day or two.
