We know it’s much easier to jet off from an airport nearby, so with that in mind, we look at where you can go on holidays from Liverpool Airport?

Well, the answer is loads of places, of course! But we’ve picked out some of our favourite spots for a few days of sunshine. Let us know if you’ve got any other suggestions that you’ve been to, or you’d love to see.

  • Portugal offers some of the best beaches in Europe so you can’t go far wrong with Lisbon or Faro. Just a few hours from the UK, you’ll find luxurious blue oceans, calm, soft, sandy beaches and if you fancy it bangin’ nightlife, especially in the Algarve resorts of Albufeira or Carvoeiro, both close to Faro airport.
  • An absolute gem of the Aegean, Bodrum in Turkey is just a few hours from Liverpool and is the perfect base for a bit of exploring or an ultra relaxing getaway.? Soak up the culture of this historic land, or do some major chilling on the pure sandy beaches in temperatures of around 35 degrees. Top all that off with a Turkish bath and boom, we think that’s a hard holiday to beat.??
  • Malta is a cute little island right in the middle of the Mediterranean and close to Sicily. That’ll give you an idea of the gorgeous sunshine holiday awaiting you! It’s definitely one of the more chilled out wonders, great for anyone looking to completely relax, with the odd bit of walking if you’re feeling up to it and an amazing choice of great places to eat and drink at sunset.?
  • We’ve all been there, wishing for just a little bit of sunshine to perk us up. Well if you’re leaving from Liverpool airport, you’ll find buckets of sunshine destinations like Malaga or Gran Canaria in Spain.? They are some of our favourites because they have an absolutely phenomenal choice! Once you get there, you’ll find fabulous beaches, plenty that are great for kids, a lovely family atmosphere and loads of eateries where you can sample some of the local dishes.?
