Air Berlin is Germany’s second biggest airline after Lufthansa and operates an extensive network of flights from some 17 different German cities, some European and North African leisure destinations as well as destinations such as the Caribbean and the Americas. It’s main hubs are Berlin-Tegel Airport and Dusseldorf Airport. Air Berlin is a member of the Oneworld alliance. Ethihad Airways owns a 29.21% in Air Berlin. It has been reported that in March 2014 Air Berlin has 8,694 employees and carried over 31.5 million passengers in 2013.
