Founded in 1993, Qatar Airways is the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar. The airline has its headquarters in the Qatar Airways Tower in Doha. The airline links over 125 international destinations across Africa, Central Asia, Europe, Far East, South Asia, Middle East, North America, South America and Oceania at its base at Hamad International Airport. In 2014 Qatar airways was awarded Airline of the Year at the Air Transport News Awards as well as Best Long-Haul Airline at the UK Business Travel Awards.
