Superb, great location, it was very safe. Rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Thessaloniki is a nice city, we stayed for two nights . The square and small streets are always busy in the evenings and the promenade is always packed with people drinking coffees. We saw the white tower (not that impressed) but the castle was worth it.
