Good resort with a wide selection of choices, there's luxury or pretty basic as far as I could tell. local facilities, shops etc were also grand. Good selection of tavernas to eat out at night. Elounda had it all.
Elounda is a completely brilliant place. Really lovely and you can always rely on a fab welcome from everywhere. It's a village really, with some tavernas, and is a great base for travelling to other parts of the island.
Elounda's perfect for exploring other parts of Crete. We've been a few times so we sort of know our way around, it's a gorgeous island. Weather is always great. Beaches are clean for the few days we spent on them.
